Important P1 Transition Information

Nursery P1 Transition Lunch Visit

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will be unable to offer a lunch for parents tomorrow (Tuesday 28th) at the P1 Transition Lunch Visit, however, parents are still very welcome to come along and experience lunchtime routines with your child as planned at 11.20am.

We will now offer a further lunch visit experience on Wed 12th June at 11.20 where parents will be able to eat a school lunch with your child. For menu choices, please complete the form as below and return to office along with payment for this meal which is £4 (Please note, that on this day, nursery pupils transitioning to P1 will be given their meal for free; otherwise the cost is £2.30 for the school dinner).

For both days, parents should come to the Nursery entrance for 11.20am where they will be met by ELC staff. Also on Wednesday 29th May children who have pre-booked will have lunch with their buddies then out to play until 12:30 in the school playground.

We look forward to seeing you with your child at this exciting time in the countdown to P1!

SPORTS DAY UPDATE

Nursery Sports Day

Following on from last week’s postponed Sports Day, we would now like to confirm that the new date for Nursery Sports will be on Thu 20th June. This will also incorporate the Nursery Fun Day with Sports Day beginning at 9.30am on the MUGA with the Fun Day kicking off from 10.30-12.30. We hope that this will allow as many parents as possible to come along to see the sports and for the children to enjoy time together afterwards during their fun day. Parents are welcome but not required to stay for the fun day.

SUMMER FAYRE 2019

This week sees our MOL Summer Fayre on Thursday May 30th from 4-7pm! We have loads of exciting stalls lined up to keep everyone busy and entertained, including such favourites as the tombola, raffle, lucky dip, BBQ, hook a duck, beat the goalie, zorb balls, sponge the teacher and even, for 2019, the return of gunge the headteacher!

P6 and P5/6 pupils have been working extremely hard to pull this event together and we are grateful to them, the wider school and staff who have worked hard preparing for the fayre. We would still appreciate further contributions for the fayre – this includes prizes for the raffle, filled jars for the jar stall, teddies and general prizes for the teddy and general tombola. These can be dropped off at the school office or taken into school by your child during the week. Finally, we would appreciate your support filling the home bake plates that went home on Friday for everyone to enjoy on the day.

Thank you to everyone for your support and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday for the MOL Summer Fayre 2019!Summer Fayre

Wear Yellow Day Friday May 31st

This year we are supporting Highland Hospice’s Wear Yellow Day on Friday 31st May. This means everyone is welcome to come to school wearing yellow on Friday in exchange for a donation for the Highland Hospice.

There will also be sunflower pin badges, wristbands and balloons on sale, each for a suggested donation of £1.00. These will also be available to purchase on Thursday at the summer fayre as well as raffle tickets for a dedicated Highland Hospice L’Oreal hamper, the proceeds from which will go to Highland Hospice.

Highland Hospice is a charity close to the hearts of many in our community and we are pleased to be able to show MOL’s support for it in this one-off appeal. Thank you in advance for your support as we join in turning the Highlands yellow for one day!Highland hospice
